Which machines does N214 cover?
Ride-on rollers used for compaction. Pedestrian rollers and plate compactors are a different matter — ask us and we'll confirm the right route.
Why do NPORS documents say both 'road roller' and 'ride-on roller'?
NPORS's own paperwork uses both titles for N214. The category and the card are the same either way.
How long for an experienced operator?
The NPORS standard for an experienced ride-on roller operator is a minimum of around seven hours including assessment, so usually a single day.
Can you train on our site?
Yes. Compaction is easiest to assess on the material your team actually lays, so training on your own job is an advantage.
