Is this enough for an early years setting?
Newly qualified staff entering early years work are expected to hold either this or the full Paediatric First Aid certificate within three months of starting. The EYFS full paediatric requirement is met by the two-day qualification, so most settings need at least one person holding that.
Can staff upgrade later?
Yes. Many settings start new staff on the one-day award and put them through the full two-day qualification when their rota allows.
