How long is the course?
Half a day covers ligature recognition, control measures and practical cutter use. If you want suicide and self-harm awareness included, we extend it to a full day of around six hours.
Do staff practise with real cutters?
Yes. We demonstrate a range of ligature cutters and everyone practises with them, because knowing how a cutter behaves matters when seconds count.
Can you build it around our policies?
We do. The course is delivered in-house and built around your own ligature policy, your environment and the risks your staff actually face.
Is the content difficult for staff?
It can be. Trainers set ground rules at the start, take it at a sensible pace, and make sure everyone knows where to get support afterwards.
