- Team handling and awkward or heavy loads
- Handling aids and equipment, and the checks required under PUWER and LOLER

Can you use our own loads and equipment?
Yes, and we recommend it — practising with the trolleys, cages and stock your team handles every day is what makes the training stick.
What's the difference between the two manual handling courses?
Safe Moving and Handling is a full day with three practical assessments. Principles of Manual Handling is a half-day theory-only award for staff who need awareness rather than hands-on instruction.
Do you cover moving people?
Yes. For care and healthcare settings we deliver the people-handling version, including hoists and transfers.
