Does this replace the Care Certificate?
No. The Care Certificate covers induction standards; the Level 2 Diploma is the qualification that follows, and evidence is often shared between the two.
How is it assessed?
Through a portfolio of evidence built in the workplace, so staff stay in service while they qualify rather than sitting in a classroom.
How long does it take?
It depends on shift patterns and how quickly evidence is gathered. We'll agree a realistic timescale with you at the start.
