The 3-day FAW course equips participants with practical skills and knowledge

Role and responsibilities of a First Aider

Legal obligations under UK health & safety law
Infection control, scene safety, risk assessment
Incident recording and reporting procedures

Casualty assessment and primary survey

DRABC (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation)
Secondary survey and monitoring vital signs

CPR and AED use

Adult, child and infant CPR
Automated External Defibrillator operation

Management of injuries

Bleeding, wounds, fractures, burns, scalds, eye injuries
Head, spinal and chest injuries

Medical emergencies

Heart attack, stroke, seizure, asthma, diabetes, allergic reactions, shock
